A robot parts reference package is installed, but its supporting illustration cannot be found by a receiving application. The maintainer needs to trace the resource location rather than conclude that the physical component is missing or unsuitable. This fictional software-documentation incident concerns a packaged image only. It installs nothing, changes no filesystem path and offers no instructions for operating a robot.
Begin with what the application was expected to display and the source of that expectation. A guide may refer to an illustration, a package may contain supporting files and an interface may show an error. Those items should be related explicitly. The existence of a package name does not by itself identify which illustration the receiving application attempted to use.
Imagine that a supplier supplies an installation note while the receiver provides a file-read message. Retain both under the authorized evidence scope. The note may describe where resources are intended to be available, but it is not an observation of the receiver's filesystem. The message records an attempted access, but it may not explain how the application constructed the path.
The Jazzy ament_index_python package reference describes a function for obtaining a package's share directory and identifies a package-not-found exception. This gives the investigation a specific location concept. It does not establish that every intended child file exists or that a resource can be opened by an application.
The responsible developer can explain which package lookup was actually used and which resource path was expected within that location. Keep the package lookup observation separate from the file-read observation. If one succeeded and the other did not, do not combine them into a statement that all package access failed. Equally, a returned share path should not be written as proof that the illustration loaded.

The Python pathlib documentation distinguishes making a path absolute from resolving it with symbolic-link handling. This is a concrete reminder that a displayed path and a resolved filesystem relationship can answer different questions. It does not identify which operation the fictional application uses or diagnose a symbolic-link problem.
Ask the responsible party to explain the actual path construction and the conditions of the attempted read. Preserve the supplied representation rather than replacing it with an assumed installation directory. If a record lacks its relevant location context, mark that gap. Do not copy a documentation example into the incident note and present its demonstration path as the receiver's real environment.
Private filesystem locations can be described within an approved support channel without publishing them in a public article. The present account contains no real user directory or package contents. A coordinator can request a bounded explanation of the path relationship without collecting an entire workstation inventory or changing the receiving environment.
The supplier may need to clarify whether the illustration is included in the delivered package, supplied separately or generated by another authorized step. Those are different delivery arrangements. Retain the actual explanation with the package revision. A file with the expected name from another source is not automatically an acceptable replacement.
If the illustration was omitted, a corrected delivery can be linked to the maintenance request. If the resource exists but the application references another location, the response may concern the application's resource selection. Neither outcome should be asserted before the evidence supports it. This article provides no package inspection result and does not advise copying arbitrary files into an installation.
The image's meaning also deserves a separate check. Finding a file at a path does not demonstrate that it depicts the intended part, that its licence allows use or that it is appropriate for the current guide. A technical access correction can leave those editorial questions open. The handover should identify who is responsible for them.

An authorized follow-up can identify the package revision, the intended illustration and the observed application result. Keep the initial failure alongside the response. If only the delivery documentation was clarified, say so. If a revised resource was displayed, retain that observation without broadening it into an assessment of every file in the package.
The original diagrams distinguish resource location, delivery and display evidence. They are not screenshots of a real package. Related material is available in the robot parts documentation section and the article directory. A precise resource maintenance record helps the next maintainer investigate the missing illustration while preserving the boundary between software packaging and the physical part.
